Coach Roberts is passionate, warm/approachable, supportive, and successful. He was one of the main reasons that attracted our daughter to SIU. He was great with her and us as a family. He was interested in her well-being and not just her potential as an athlete. He creates a positive team culture through team building, and uses praise and positive reinforcement to get the best out of his players.

Coach Roberts was my coach at University of Tennessee at Martin. He brought the team to the championship and we were OVC champions. This was an incredible experience, and his recruitment of players, coaching style, and commitment to the team played a major role in the success of the team.

Craig is a coach that cares a about his players,his teams and the game.He is extremely knowledgeable about the sport.

Craig is not only one of the most knowledgeable coaches in college soccer but he cares enough about the the student athletes to be honest and have the hard conversations. My daughter loved playing for him and he has continued to be a great influence in her post soccer career.

I didn’t get to work with coach Craig for much time, but the time that he was here was very beneficial. He made college soccer feel less scary coming in as a freshman and it was clear from the start that he knew a lot and was very eager to teach us his ways. He was always positive and proved that he cared about his players from the beginning. I learned a lot from coach Craig in a very short amount of time, so I would strongly recommend coach Craig.

Coach Robert’s is one of the smartest coaches I’ve ever had, even though I had him for a short period I still learned a lot from him.

Craig came and did a session for my football team, I have known Craig for a long time and was really excited to get to see him in action, his session was really engaging with my players with great interventions to give very positive technical detail. He communicated and got on the level with my team to make it a really enjoyable experience. Top coach!

Only coach I've met that takes teams from the bottom.. and makes them believe in themselves and gets teams to semi finals or finals . What a coach

Made my soccer experience the best

As a player of Coach Roberts, he was nothing short of the best coach. He cared about team morale and building us up on and off the field. He taught us how to work together and how to be our best as a person and together as teammates. I really appreciated how respectful and professional he was along with making us feel like family. His tactics definitely reflected what we did on the field from the first game we played. His knowledge of the game and years of experience helped us to be a successful winning team when none of us thought we could be.

He’s the most knowledgeable, professional, and sincere college coach of soccer that I’ve ever met, bar none. He is an outstanding person as well.

My personal and group experiences with coach Roberts were....that Coach Roberts was highly respected by us, and we never wanted to disappoint him. For the club and him, we wanted to go out and always give it our all. He was revered by everyone in the club because he protected us. The discipline was incredible, and it aided in upholding the standards we set for our lives. He acted as a father figure to the younger players on the team and served as a friend to the more experienced players. To be a strong leader, Coach Roberts' character traits are extremely essential. When I played for Coach Roberts, and looking back, I believe what inspired and fired me up was when he brought up our families, because there are times on the pitch when you feel like you're struggling a little bit and then you remember how hard your family worked to enable us to be where we are now. In the club, we all respect one other equally, care for one another, and ensure that we are compassionate. He was incredibly attentive and asked about everyone's families and knew their names. Things like that stick out in my recollection.

Craig has dedicated his life to the world of academia and competitive level soccer and I felt the impact of this from my time under his coaching. From day one Craig approached the team with a professional but fair position, he was always dedicated to helping us push our abilities and develop as a team. High level sport is an intense and competitive environment and for some they may have struggled to balance this change of pace. I found Craig’s honest and passionate mindset to the sport and to his players to be inspiring and what is required to make a professional athlete. I would highly recommend Craig and thank him for his time and efforts.

Coach Roberts encouraged my daughter in this sport. He built her confidence and enhanced her skills. My daughter became a member of a team with coach Roberts guidance. He treated everyone with respect and was very fair to all the team.

Great all around coach and person. In short amount of time he managed to take us from an unsuccessful program to a contender. My personal growth on the field came from his insight. Each member of the team was individually cared for and pushed. Due to this we had tremendous success. Our institute creates leaders. He was an example of how to compete and set standards. If you broke the rules there were consequences for your actions. He instilled qualities and expectations that have assisted me beyond soccer.
